March 5 Thursday Drive to Tucson

The Casa Grande Ruins National Monument was quite interesting and along the way to Tucson. The archeologists know very little about these structures in the desert. The age has been estimated at 1350 AD. Somewhere around 1450, the structures were abandoned for reasons unknown. The National Park service is struggling to keep the buildings from deteriorating further hence, the roof.

Highways 79 and 77 proved to be a scenic drive through desert terrain to Tucson. I missed a bit of it because I had a little nap. Upon arriving in Tucson we checked into our motel, just off the highway.
Rather than sitting in our room, we went to see a movie, The Imitation Game. It was really good.
