March 1 Sunday Phoenix

The majority of our day was spent at the Desert  Botanical Gardens studying various types of cacti and succulents.  We took a guided tour which explained about plant adaptations.  The plants here are unusual and amazing but . . .  Don't touch.

Continuing on our plant theme, we did the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive in north Scottsdale. For 6 miles, the native trees and plants are labelled with signs to help you identify them. This part of Scottsdale is VERY ritzy showcasing expensive homes and vistas.
The rest of the day was spent pursuing food and rest. Rain is in the forecast for Monday so, it will be an indoor touring day.
